Trash rules hosts get fined for

Inside the City of Big Bear Lake (92315) you need a city vacation rental license. Cans can't sit at the curb more than 24 hours, and operational violations are fined $500 for a first, $1,000 for a second and $1,500 for a third violation within 12 months.

Outside city limits (Big Bear City, Fawnskin, Sugarloaf, the county side of Moonridge) you need a San Bernardino County short-term rental permit. County rules require animal-proof containers in the mountain region, trash removal after each stay, and containers out no sooner than 12 hours before pickup and back within 24 hours after.
